The Westerly Lions Club's White Cane Day

Lions White Cane Day which is known as sight conservation day, was a resounding success again this year.  Held on November 22, the day before Thanksgiving, members of the club collected donations from the public outside McQuades, Shaws and Wal-Mart. The Westerly Teachers and the employees of The Washington Trust also made significant contributions by having a dress down day.The club uses this money to support their efforts to help the visually impaired locally and thoughout the world.
